Sunday 12th - Saturday 18th August
Times as per itinerary
For 2018, the Summer School has a new look. No longer divided into two weeks, this year will see a longer, single course exclusively for ten people only. Taking
inspiration from the Dorset countryside, working both on location and in the studio, the provisional itinerary will be:

Sunday 12th, 14.00: Meet as a group at Downend Farm Studio for a cream tea at the studio and to relax together before the week ahead.

Monday 13th, Tuesday 14th and Wednesday 15th, 10.00 each day: Meet at the studio to gather materials and to chat about the week’s locations.

You will then be transported to a selection of locations in Dorset, designed to inspire your creativity. We will sketch, paint and photograph en plein air, enjoy a snack picnic (supplied by Downend Farm Studio) before
returning to the studio early afternoon each day.

Thursday 16th and Friday 17th, 10.00: At the studio Alison will share all of her latest and traditional
techniques with you to help you interpret your location work into a finished piece or pieces. Each day will finish at approximately 14.30.

Saturday 18th, 10.00: Meet at the studio for a round up of the week and stay for a barbeque lunch, weather
