This project would be nothing without our supporting partners, both to help Ali fulfil the aspirations of the project and to inspire her to complete the challenge.

Ali’s chosen charity:

Ali has chosen this charity as the beneficiary of her challenge as their work is indefatigable in the needs of wildlife in Dorset.

Dorset Wildlife Trust is dedicated to helping Dorset’s wildlife and wild places to adapt, recover and play their part in tackling the global climate change and ecological crises. Established over sixty years ago by a small group of volunteers, they are now the largest conservation charity in Dorset, managing 40 nature reserves across Dorset as well as four visitor centres. They work in partnership with other conservation organisations, landowners, local communities and partners to protect and to create corridors for wildlife to breed, feed and move freely across the county.

Connecting with nature is good for people's health and well-being. Rooted in communities across Dorset, they create opportunities to enjoy, experience and benefit from the natural world. They organise events and activities at their visitor centres, create opportunities to volunteer at their nature reserves and provide guidance on how to make gardens or local green spaces wildlife-friendly. Everyone can play a part in making space for nature and benefitting from it too.

Love From the Artist

A community interest company that has worked with Ali for many years, developing paper products and now working together to find sustainable solutions to her printing requirements.

LFTA is based on fair trade, is non-profit making, supports a wide range of artists and artistic styles and provides an open and fair opportunity for visual artists, photographers and illustrators, for whom it is free to use.

Tilseds Online

Ali and her parent’s family business, originally established in 1880, has been dealing in print, stationery and art materials since 1984. Closing their high street premises in 2007, the family are bringing back unusual and pre-loved materials to the creative community, updating it for the 21st century but with the same personal service that you would expect from a small business.

Launched in September 2023, discover bespoke products that you won’t find anywhere else plus a selection of carefully curated pre-loved or vintage tools and materials, brought to you by a family who have been trading in fine art and stationery for over forty years.

The SAA

A company that has supported Ali throughout her professional career and continues to work with her, developing materials and encouraging artists of all abilities to find their creativity.

Most recently, Ali and The SAA have worked collaboratively to produce a range of watercolour paints that benefit the artist with sustainability in the forefront of their practice. This partnership is cherished by Ali, who works hard to find products to recommend to those that she teaches.

Hahnemühle

Hahnemühle papers have been produced since 1584 and combine tradition with the latest technologies to give the artist unique qualities in their surfaces. Ali enjoys working on their huge variety of papers and is inspired by their environmental ethos and conscious approach to the products they create.
